Students from Bunin Yelets State University in Russia kicked off their seven-day visit to Nantong University on May 8 by experiencing sports and traditional Chinese culture.

After a friendly match of table tennis between students from both universities, Russian visitors also experienced fencing and dragon and lion dances at Nantong University.

The Russian delegation of 11 teachers and students will attend a couple of classes at the university, talk with their Chinese counterparts, and tour the school to experience its vibrant environment.

This year is the China-Russia Cultural Year and marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia Friendship Association.

The exchanges and collaboration between Nantong University and Bunin Yelets State University in culture and education are a result of years of friendly relations between the two countries.
