Nantong enchants Shanghai with dazzling culture, attractions

Nantong in Jiangsu province hosted a culture and tourism-themed promotional conference in Shanghai on April 27 to attract more tourists and investment.
Professional guide Zhang Jian was invited to talk about the relations between the two cities and recommend some unique tourism routes, while three social media influencers from Shanghai with over 1 million followers discussed their travels in Nantong.
All the districts, counties and county-level cities administered by Nantong also introduced their own unique cultural and tourism attractions.
During the event, Nantong set up an exhibition area to showcase its intangible cultural heritage items, including blue calico, Nantong kesi, and palm fiber weaving. A bazaar was also established for locals to try out Nantong delicacies, such as clam pancakes, Shigang cakes, and Baipu dried bean curd.
On the same day, the campaign of 100,000 Yangtze River Delta tourists touring Nantong was launched and around 100,000 tourists from the YRD will travel in Nantong this spring.
