The 135th session of the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, concluded on May 5 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, welcoming over 400 enterprises from Nantong, Jiangsu province.

The Nantong enterprises set up more than 600 booths in 40 exhibition areas to showcase their latest products, including electronics, home appliances, and power equipment and tapped into new markets during the fair, especially in countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Nantong Easysleep Foam Co brought some new products to its booth this year, with home supplies targeted at Saudi Arabia which feature low carbon emissions and are environmentally friendly.

The Canton Fair is also an important tool for Nantong Longteng International Trade Co to grow its client base, and the company has negotiated procurement orders with purchasers from BRI countries and regions while consolidating its traditional markets in Germany, Spain, and other European countries. During the fair, Longteng secured orders worth $150 million.

This year's Canton Fair features a physical exhibition in three phases from April 15 to May 5 and was visited by more than 190,000 overseas buyers in its first two phases, a year-on-year increase of 22.1 percent. Of the international buyers, 120,000 were from BRI countries and regions.
