Nantong partners with Southeast University

The Nantong municipal government inked a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Southeast University in the city on Dec 24.
Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong, thanked SEU for its long-term support for the city's economic and social development after the signing ceremony.
With the implementation of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and YRD Integrated Development, Nantong has seen many new development opportunities, noted Wu.
He added that SEU is a respectable university and that he expects both sides to further integrate their science and innovation resources and develop the city into a hotspot for innovative talent.
Wu also said that Nantong authorities will offer the most efficient possible services to SEU and create the best possible environment for the development of SEU's teachers and students.
Zuo Wei, SEU's Party secretary, said that the university boasts a longstanding partnership and close relations with Nantong and that the two sides will strengthen cooperation to serve the country's strategy of becoming a marine power.
He expressed hope that SEU and Nantong will establish the Institute for Advanced Marine Studies and other projects through innovative cooperation mechanisms.
