Lyusi port area receives over 20,000 TEUs since opening

The Lyusi port area in the county-level city of Qidong, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has received 21,330 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in the 200 days since its opening.

The port has a shoreline length of 812 meters, a water depth of 14.8 meters, and a terminal yard with an area of 310,000 square meters. It is the first fully automated container terminal in the province.

The port has achieved full automation of port operations and intelligent production management through the application of advanced technologies such as 5G, Beidou, and the internet of things.

According to statistics from the Nantong maritime bureau, the port has received a total of 55 domestic trade ships and nine international ships for import and export ports since its opening.

With the comprehensive operation of the port and the rapid growth of cargo throughput, Lyusi port area serves as a new transportation channel for foreign trade in central and northern Jiangsu province and has invigorated regional foreign trade development.
