Lyusi port area bustling with activity

The Panamanian bulk carrier Sea Aquarius, carrying 4,204 pieces of cargo measuring 10,693.6 metric tons, left the terminal of the Lyusi port area in the county-level city of Qidong, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Feb 21.
Close behind, the large general cargo ship Chipolbrok Galaxy berthed at the terminal of the Lyusi port area.
The ship is 199.8 meters long, 27.8 meters wide, and 41.1 meters high. It is expected to carry 941.8 tons, or about 5,858.72 cubic meters, of modules.
The 100,000-ton general terminal of the Lyusi port area has a total shoreline of 556 meters and a width of 42 meters.
Its designed annual capacity for general cargo is 7.1 million tons, including wind turbine blades, mechanical equipment, as well as steel and building materials.
To date, the terminal has completed a throughput of nearly 2 million cu m since its opening in December 2021. With the berthing of the Chipolbrok Galaxy, the terminal welcomed its 95th international sailing ship.
