Rudong works to attract migrant workers
Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, launched three job fairs in Nanzhen district in Hanzhong, a city in Shaanxi province, on Jan 31 to attract workers for local enterprises in Rudong.
The job fairs featured nearly 500 jobs and helped recruit 70 employees for Rudong's enterprises.
Rudong authorities also dispatched chartered buses to transport 50 employees to the county from Hanzhong city.
Jiangsu Changbang Security Technology Co Ltd is one of the local enterprises in the county that benefited from the job fairs.
Wang Xiaomei, who is in charge of the company's human resources department, said that the job fairs organized by the county have helped solve their labor shortage issues after the Spring Festival.
According to the county human resources bureau, Rudong and Nanzhen district have cooperated in human resources since 2017.
In addition, authorities recruited workers by going to Mengzi city and Luxi county in Yunnan province and Kangke county in Gansu province this year.
The county has recruited nearly 400 migrant workers so far this year.
Next, the county will focus on looking for new cooperation partners and improving human resource services to help attract more workers.
