Support measures aid innovative development of Rudong enterprises
Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been making efforts to advance the innovative development of its high-tech industries in recent years.
In 2022, the county was ranked 22nd in the list of China's top 100 innovative counties, up four places from the previous year.
In addition, the output value of the high-tech industry accounted for 47 percent of the county's total industrial output.
These achievements were made possible by the efforts taken by authorities to support high-tech enterprises in the zone.
Jiangsu Roda Electron Material Co Ltd is one of the high-tech enterprises that have benefited from the support measures.
To develop 5G high-speed copper clad laminate, or CCL, independently, Roda increased its spending on research and development to 300 million yuan ($44.08 million) in the past four years.
During that period, authorities helped find two industry funds to invest in Roda's CCL program.
In 2022, Roda made the list of national "little giant" enterprises.
Due to the mass production of 5G high-speed CCL that started in January, the added taxable turnover of the company is expected reach 500 million yuan this year, according to Roda.
