Hai'an sees high-quality development in 2022
Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has made progress in high-quality development in the past year.
In 2022, the GDP of Hai'an was 137.98 billion yuan ($20.16 billion), ranking 11th among all counties in the province.
Project introduction has been the focus of the county's development in recent years.
Last year, Hai'an introduced 12 new projects with over 1 billion yuan in funding, and three provincial projects and 23 municipal key projects started construction.
The county has also made efforts to advance innovative development in the past year.
At the end of 2022, Hai'an was home to more than 460 high-tech enterprises, and the county last year added 11 provincial platforms for research and development.
It has also introduced 106 high-profile talents and 11 overseas talents to boost innovative development.
Due to efforts in innovation, the county in 2022 made the list of the first batch of innovative counties in China.
In addition, Hai'an last year renovated 22 old residential communities to improve local living environment. It has also completed 12 livelihood projects in 2022.
