The H4 project of an offshore wind plant in Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, recently won the China Installation Engineering Quality Award, local media reported.
The China Installation Engineering Quality Award is the top prize for engineering quality in the installation industry. It represents the highest level of technology and quality for domestic installation projects.
The H4 project is the first wind plant in China to carry out digital and intelligent operations during the designing stage, engineering construction, operation, and maintenance.
The installation of offshore turbines needs the help of large crane vessels and offshore platforms, which bring high requirements to operations and peripheral shipping.
To ensure the promotion of the project, the Nantong Maritime Safety Administration offered experts to guide and review the operation.
Thanks to professional guidance and advanced technology, the project's crane vessels installed a record 13 wind turbines in 30 days.
