Jiangsu Roda Electron Material Co Ltd, a high-tech enterprise in Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, is expected to increase its output value by 500 million yuan ($73.72 million) this year.

Roda is a high-tech enterprise that specializes in producing electronic materials. In 2020, the enterprise decided to engage in the research and development of the 5G high-speed copper clad laminate, or CCL, which is the main material used in the production of printed-circuit boards.

Before then, Chinese enterprises that produce printed-circuit boards needed to import the 5G high-speed CCL from foreign countries.

To break the monopoly that foreign companies have over 5G high-speed CCL, Roda increased investment in research and development.

At the end of 2022, the enterprise received its first 5G high-speed CCL order and will start mass production this year.
