Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been working to increase employment over the past year, local media reported.

Last year, Chongchuan authorities held 106 online and offline job fairs that provided 36,800 jobs.

Authorities also teamed up with vocational schools and organized 100 activities to provide vocational training to unemployed people in the district.

Chongchuan has also focused on boosting entrepreneurship to increase jobs and employment.

In addition, authorities have set up a start-up alliance that provides professional guidance and financial support to boost entrepreneurship in Chongchuan.

In 2022, authorities helped 2,412 people start businesses in the district and provided local enterprises with subsidies of nearly 70 million yuan ($10.32 million).
