Tourism industry in Chongchuan recovers during New Year holiday

The tourism sector in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province saw a recovery during the New Year holiday following moves to loosen COVID-19 restrictions, local media reported.
Among those that saw a significant uptick in visitors was Wonderful Farm in Chongchuan.
"On New Year's Day, one-third of the recreational vehicles in our farm was occupied. Many tourists from surrounding cities have helped drive the recovery of the tourism industry," said Mao Jing, vice-general manager of the farmer.
Nantong Forest Safari Park also saw an increase in the number of visitors during the holiday. According to the park, the occupancy rate of tree houses during this period was 80 percent, the highest in recent months.
Official estimates showed that the recovery of the tourism industry in Chongchuan would enter a new stage during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday.
