Unmanned harvesters aid harvest in Tongzhou

Five unmanned harvesters were used to harvest rice on a farm in Liuqiao town, located in Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 2, local media reported.
This year, Tongzhou has been promoting the application of information and digital technology in the agriculture industry.
To date, a total of 398 intelligent machines have been promoted for use in agricultural production in the district.
In addition, Tongzhou this year has been making efforts to become a provincial model for agricultural production.
So far, the district has established 12 demonstration bases for mechanized production and six unmanned farms. All the unmanned farms have achieved the complete mechanization of production.
