As the farming season arrives, farmers have been busy with spring plowing at the demonstration park of integrated development of rural industries in Zhengyu town, Haimen district, Nantong.

In recent years, the town has led Haimen and Nantong in bolstering agricultural modernization by upgrading standard infrastructure, innovating operating modes, cooperating with companies, as well as promoting targeted production.

Established in 2020, the demonstration park has focused on high-quality rice, wheat, and vegetable production, with the businesses covering agri-product processing and sales, as well as rural tourism.

There are currently 22,000 mu (1,467 hectares) of farmland that generates more than 5,000 yuan ($769.16) in profit per mu, of which 10,000 mu are greenhouses.

The town has also built the first unmanned farm powered by 5G technology in Jiangsu province.

Its efforts to promote agricultural modernization have won municipal-, provincial-, and national-level recognition.
