Haimen leads Nantong in intellectual property development
Haimen district in Nantong was recently approved by the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province to become the first demonstration area of intellectual property (IP) development in the city, local media reported.
Haimen has been making efforts to promote innovation, optimize its business environment and push forward reform in IP development since it became a pilot zone with the aim of boosting innovation in the province in 2017.
Since that time , the district has had an average of 33.92 invention patents for every 10,000 people, 105.6 percent more than before.
In addition, Haimen Economic and Technological Development Zone and the district’s industrial park were included in a national IP development scheme, and China Dearshiqiao International Home Textiles was recognized as a state-level model market for IP protection.
There are three model corporations and another 11 enterprises in Haimen acknowledged as leading companies in the country due to their outstanding achievements in IP development.
