Linjiang New Area in Haimen district, Nantong has been accelerating the restoration of the environment in its waterfront areas, with two new parks opened to the public recently.

The 1-square-kilometer Linglong Lake Ecological Sport Park cost 200 million yuan ($28.98 million) to build and consists of a bike lane, tennis court and other facilities for recreation and relaxation.

The Dongbuzhou Changtan Park stretches 5.3 kilometers along the bank of the Yangtze River and covers a total area of 40 hectares. It features a 10,000-sqm flower sea and is home to 50,000 trees.
