Delicious grapes cultivated in Linhu township, located in Xinghua city in East China's Jiangsu province, are currently being released into the market, bringing prosperity to the local growers.
With a planting area of 2,400 mu (160 hectares), the succulent grapes produced in Linhu township boast a high degree of sweetness.
With seven villages including Tielu and Xiding designated as grape planting areas, the township this year is pushing to advance the industrialization of its sweet grape industry.
As a fresh fruit, grapes have a short shelf life, which once affected the income of the growers.
But two new cold storage facilities have been launched in the township. One is a 4,000-square meter collective cold storage unit and the other is the Jingpeng agriculture unit operated by a company.
The Jingpeng agriculture unit will build fresh storage warehouses for fruit, vegetables and aquatic products, as well as adopt live streaming to help sell its produce.
