A grape picking festival was held in Linhu township, in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – on Aug 27.
Centering on the burgeoning sector and rural vitalization, the festival consisted of a series of activities, including grape picking and internet livestreaming to sell grapes.
Relying on its great climate, Xinghua has been developing a flourishing grape industry in recent years and has promoted a diversified business model which combines cooperatives, grape farms and farmers.
Linhu township guides its local farmers on how to develop grape planting based on local conditions and it's formed an industry supply chain covering the cultivation of seedlings, planting, sales and other areas, helping locals to increase their incomes.
