Daduo town in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – is moving to explore distinctive industry development paths with local characteristics, said town official Zhu Chun.
It will promote the continued upgrading of its traditional industry – zinc products manufacturing – which accounts for over 56 percent of the town's total industrial output.
Centering on expanding that sector, the town plans to further develop leading enterprises and medium-sized enterprises, as well as developing a batch of high-quality enterprises, in a bid to become a national cluster for the industry.
The town will also focus on attracting investment from emerging industries, such as new energy and new materials.
What's more, Daduo town will tap into its existing resources in the environment, agriculture, culture, land, and capital, among others.
