When traditional, serene Chinese colors encounter the deep autumn in Xinghua, East China's Jiangsu province, the city shows off stunning scenery with a boundless poetic ambience.

In the Xinghua Lizhong Water Forest, the vast metasequoia trees have turned into burnished gold. When the sunlight falls on this forest soaked in rich yellow, a beautiful scene of intertwined light and shadow emerges.

In the tranquil and beautiful former residence of Zheng Banqiao, a noted bamboo painter active in the 18th century, dark green scenery still can be seen now. The color blends the warmth of jade with the vitality of green, displaying a wonderful freshness and elegance.

Elsewhere in the evening, the heavens over Chenyang village in Xinghua are cloaked in a color resembling lapis lazuli, immersing people in tranquility and peace that transcend worldly worries.
