Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province has remained firmly on course to harness the competitive strength of its service industry as a strong engine for economic growth.
The building of a top-flight modern service industry that is efficient, structurally sound and dynamic is seen as being a primary path to improving the lives of its people.
Focusing on new service formats, models and growth drivers, the city has strategically planned a number of high-quality projects in key areas, based on their core industrial foundations and resource endowments.
For example, the city's Yaowang sub-district is seizing the new advantages of integrating with the Taixing High-tech Zone to actively attract modern service industry projects.
In the first three quarters of the year, the city initiated the development and implementation of 79 projects worth over 10 million yuan ($1.4 million) each, with a total planned investment of more than 11.44 billion yuan.
Among these projects, 24 have begun construction with a total planned investment of over 1 billion yuan, including eight projects valued at over 100 million yuan. Additionally, 20 projects have been completed with a total investment of around 2.39 billion yuan, including 12 projects valued at over 100 million yuan each.
What's more, projects of the Liquid Hydrocarbon Storage Facility, the Modern Intelligent Logistics Park and Yingxing Square have been included on the list of key service industry projects in Jiangsu province for 2024.
