The Taixing High-tech Zone – located in the eastern part of the main urban area of Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has a planning area of 28 square kilometers and in 2016, it was approved as a provincial high-tech zone.
Remaining true to the ideals of having a beautiful ecosystem excellent industry and fresh appearance, the zone takes the development of an innovative special zone and the creation of a model zone for industry-city integration as its primary direction.
It is aiming to build a "3 plus 1" modern industrial system led by energy conservation and environmental protection, new energy and materials, as well as intelligent manufacturing, supported by science and technology services.
The zone focuses on cultivating an energy-saving and environmental protection industry cluster and three industrial supply chains – for high-efficient solar cells, high-end transmission machinery and new lithium.
It has become a national environmental protection service industry pilot zone, a demonstration base for China's industry-university-research cooperation and innovation, a national demonstration base for small and micro enterprise innovation and entrepreneurship and a national pilot unit for an ecology-oriented development or EOD model.
