The Taixing High-tech Zone in Taixing city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – has pursued optimizing the layout of its industrial land, strengthening the revitalization of existing land and deepening the utilization of three-dimensional spaces to improve land-use efficiency.
Jiang Jie, secretary of the zone's Party working committee, recently urged the zone to promote land conservation and intensification.
He called on the zone to enhance its level of land conservation and output efficiency and continue to improve the two business calling cards of the zone – as a special innovation zone and a mecca for talent.
The zone has leveraged 2,250 mu (150 hectares) of land to form a spatial pattern, including a functional core area, an urban development axis, an external transportation axis, two industrial zones, a residential area and a commercial service supporting area.
In 2023, the zone revitalized 257 mu of inefficient idle land and allocated it with key projects, enabling them to move into unused factories.
