The Taixing High-tech Zone in Taixing city, administered by Taizhou in Jiangsu province, started a 100-day campaign on July 1, aiming to attract more high-quality projects and promote project construction.
By conducting this campaign, which will end on Oct 10, the zone aims to introduce major projects in advantageous industries, foreign investment projects, and key projects for chain extension and expansion.
Specifically, the campaign sets out the goal of signing 19 new projects worth over 100 million yuan ($13.91 million) each. This includes three projects worth over 1 billion yuan each, four projects led by high-level talents, and four modern service industry projects.
During this 100-day period, the zone aims to break ground on six projects worth 100 million yuan each, including three projects worth 500 million yuan each and one project worth over 215.69 million yuan in foreign investment.
The campaign's key target areas are regions with high openness and strong economic vitality, such as Shanghai and other cities in the Yangtze River Delta regions, as well as foreign countries including Japan and Germany.
Centering on key industries such as energy conservation and environmental protection, photovoltaic new energy, intelligent manufacturing, and technology services, the zone will strive to introduce core projects that can link upstream and downstream industries.
In addition, the zone will insist on green development and it is already gearing up to create a green and low-carbon industry environment.
From the beginning of this year to July 19, the zone has signed 18 project contracts with a total planned investment of 5.09 billion yuan, accounting for 51.43 percent of the zone's annual target tasks. It has broken ground on nine projects with a total planned investment of 2.88 billion yuan and completed seven projects totaling 2.62 billion yuan.
