The Photoelectric Materials Academician (Expert) Innovation Center was launched recently in the Taixing High-tech Zone – located in the county-level city of Taixing, under the prefecture-level city of Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province.
The facility was unveiled during a development forum on promoting new photoelectric materials on March 30.

The innovation center will focus on next-generation technology for new display materials. It was co-built by Li Jinghong, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangsu Xingqihang New Material Technology Co Ltd and the Taixing High-tech Zone.
The company will be responsible for proposing technological innovation needs, providing construction funds and commercializing research projects.
Professor Li Jinghong and his team, for their part, are responsible for incubating projects and providing the technical foundation, as well as developing pilot projects, product testing and other services.
The zone will focus on industry development and attracting supply chain-targeted investment, aiming to attract top resources for its projects.
In addition, Li Jinghong – and fellow academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yu Shuhong – were hired as consultants for the advancement of the city's photoelectric sector.
