Binjiang town in Taixing city, Jiangsu province, ranked 46th on the 2023 list of top 100 towns in China. This is according to the recently released China Township Comprehensive Competitiveness Report.
The report was released on Sept 24 at a township high-quality development exchange conference that was held in Hubei province.
Pushing towards the goal of Party building, Binjiang town focuses on green industrial projects and a collective economy.
A modern green agricultural park has been built in the town to attract and develop agricultural projects. At present, several industries have been developed in the town, including cherry cultivation, strawberry cultivation, and the co-cultivation of rice and shrimp.
The comprehensive competitiveness evaluation of Chinese townships includes indicators such as economic scale, economic vitality, and per capita level. To accurately guide townships toward high-quality development, the evaluation system does not include regional gross domestic product indicators.
