The 136th China Import and Export Fair, or Canton Fair, concluded on Nov 4 in Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province. A total of 25 companies from Taixing city, administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province, participated in the event, signing 402 orders.
Taixing exhibitors posted total transactions worth $38.23 million, including intended transactions, a new record at the fair.
The city's companies displayed their heavyweight new products, covering a raft of exhibition areas such as electronics goods, furniture, motorcycles, sports and tourism and leisure.
As a backbone enterprise in Taixing, Taizhou Yuanda Investment Group signed a $28.5 million supply order, the highest single transaction in Taizhou.
Manufacturer Jiangsu Sunpower has continued to promote product optimization and upgrading, posting a year-on-year increase of 36 percent in transaction volumes thanks to its star product – lithium batteries.
