The 2023 Taixing (Shanghai) Investment Promotion Conference took place in East China's Shanghai city on Aug 11, with 28 new projects signed up on site.
Situated in East China's Jiangsu province, Taixing city has focused on promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta that is being led by Shanghai, speakers told the conference.
Some 22 industrial projects and six talent cooperation projects were signed at the event, with a total investment of 22.47 billion yuan ($3.10 billion).
The industrial projects cover new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedicines, food processing, new energy, among others – areas that are aligned with the city's development of specialist industries.
Earlier in the year, China Media Group launched the first national pre-prepared food competition program in March, with a globefish pre-prepared meal produced by Taixing performing well.
The finals of the pre-prepared food competition will be held in Taixing, program director Sun Yingping told the conference.
