Qian Tianyi from Jingjiang, a county-level city in Taizhou, located in East China's Jiangsu province, along with her teammates Kuai Man and Shi Xunyao, won the women's team championship at the 2024 Chinese National Table Tennis Championships on Oct 19.
In 2011, the 11-year-old Qian was transferred from the Jingjiang sports bureau to the Taizhou's table tennis team. The following year, she participated in Jiangsu's youth table tennis competition for the first time and won the singles championship, earning a spot on the provincial team.
In 2014, she competed in the National Junior Table Tennis Championships, winning both the women's team and singles titles, and was selected for the national table tennis team.
Qian Tianyi's major honors include:
Champion in women's singles and women's team at the Asian Youth Championships in 2016;
Champion in women's singles and runner-up of the mixed doubles at the World Junior Table Tennis Championships;
Third place in women's doubles at the 2021 World Table Tennis Championships in 2021;
Runner-up in women's singles at the 2023 WTT Singapore Smash;
Champion in women's doubles at the 2024 WTT China Smash.
