Jingjiang's summer festival draws 150,000 visitors

A vibrant summer night food festival in Xieqiao town – located in Jingjiang, a county-level city administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – attracted 150,000 visitors from June 9 to 11.

The event showcased a variety of culinary delights and creative products, transforming the town's streets into a bustling hub of activity.

Featuring 50 young entrepreneurs, 39 agricultural exhibitors, and over 200 dining establishments, the festival generated over 10 million yuan ($1.38 million) in revenue. 

A highlight was the "Exploring the Taste of Xieqiao" night food market, which offered a diverse range of local delicacies, from barbecue to lobsters.

To enhance the visitor experience, Xieqiao town collaborated with various departments to distribute 100,000 yuan in food consumption vouchers. The festival also featured an agricultural market, attracting crowds eager to sample and purchase premium local products.

With live broadcasts by internet personalities and traditional cultural activities like zongzi-making competitions and student band performances, the festival provided attendees with a memorable and immersive experience.
