Jingjiang Heavy Industry Co Ltd Co a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group Co Ltd is scheduled to build an intelligent production plant for bridge steel structures in Jingjiang city, located in East China's Jiangsu province.

The 1.5-billion-yuan ($207 million) project is the second phase of the parent group's investment in the city, according to remarks made at the recent signing ceremony.
The new plant is expected to help improve the automation, informatization, networking and digitization of manufacturing with the help of intelligent technology, said Zhang Wenjun, Party chief and executive director of Jingjiang Heavy Industry Co Ltd.
On completion, it's expected to produce 300,000 tons of bridge steel structures annually.
The project is being co-built by another two central State-owned enterprises – CSSC Chengxi Shipyard Co and China Construction Steel Structure Co Ltd.
As such, it's expected to start a new chapter in deepening cooperation between the parties and to add new vitality to the high-quality development of Jingjiang's economy, said Zhang Changping, Party chief of the city.
For its part, Jingjiang will continue to uphold the concept of open innovation and win-win cooperation, improve its business environment and make every effort to provide great services, Zhang added.
