Jingjiang city – a county-level city administered by Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – staged a raft of exciting street performances on Feb 25, attracting a big audience eager to see the rich variety of Chinese culture and art.
The street performances showcased the distinctive essence of traditional culture, drawing over 500 participants, including folk artists.

The procession grabbed the attention of passersby, with its vibrant display of traditional folk art – lifting those watching with a jubilant festive spirit.
Accompanied by drums and gongs, the spectacle commenced with four majestic dragons, gracefully maneuvering through the air, their sinuous movements captivating the crowd.
The synchronized and agile performance of over 60 team members, executing intricate maneuvers with seamless coordination, left a lasting impression on spectators.
The festivities continued with a delightful array of traditional and local performances, including drumming, the da lian xiang or coin stick dance and vibrant Chinese costumes, each imbued with the warmth and charm of the season.
"Today's activities are very impressive and beautiful, allowing us to sense the strong essence of the New Year and the allure of traditional folklore," said local resident Lu Qinfang.
Lu said the lively performances had rekindled fond memories and captured several delightful moments to share them with her family and friends.
