Six projects in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone – located in Jingjiang city, in East China's Jiangsu province – were recently designated as major projects for the province in 2024 by the Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission.
A standout was Shanghai Bluesoul Environmental Technology Co Ltd's Clean Energy Equipment Project – a unit which boasts 1.5-billion-yuan ($209.26 million) in investment funding and centers on marine LNG fuel tanks and clean energy storage systems.
The initial phase encompasses an aluminum alloy B-type LNG tank production line and a hydrogen energy module production line, aiming for 1.42 billion yuan in annual invoicing sales.
Construction is underway, with the first LNG tank production line scheduled for installation after the Spring Festival and the delivery of the latest in hydrogen equipment technology scheduled for June-July.
Furthermore, the COFCO Jingjiang Wheat Processing Project, also with a 1.5 billion yuan investment, stands as COFCO Group's most extensive and advanced wheat processing plant to date.
It's set to function as the main processing base for the Fook Lam Moon and Xiangxue series of flour mills in East China – boasting an annual processing capacity of 900,000 tons of wheat and an annual flour production capacity of 630,000 tons.

In addition, the two 1 million-kilowatt unit expansion project of power utility Jiangsu Guoxin Corporation Limited, with a cost of 8.39 billion yuan, is under focus.
It will involve the construction of a duo of high-efficiency and clean coal-fired power plants, expected to generate about 10 billion kilowatt-hours annually.
