The Taizhou industry and information technology bureau – located in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently announced the 2023 Taizhou City-level enterprise technology center recognition results.
Five companies, including manufacturer Jingjiang Special Steel Co Ltd, were selected as city-level technology centers. This company is situated in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jingjiang – a county-level city, administered by Taizhou.
Enterprise technology centers are R&D and innovation institutions established by companies to enhance their technological innovation capabilities and core competitiveness.
The centers formulate innovation plans, conduct R&D of new products, technologies, processes and standards and contribute to overall high-quality development.
In recent years, the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone has prioritized tech innovation to drive the transformation and development of its enterprises.
By guiding and cultivating the construction of the technology centers, the zone has provided strong support for industrial growth.
As of Dec 20, eight enterprises at the zone's headquarters had been selected as Taizhou-level technology centers, with five also achieving provincial recognition.
Moving forwards, plans are for the zone to encourage enterprises to invest in innovation and to leverage technology centers to promote technological advancements.
