Residents of Wangjiang Community in Jingjiang – a county-level city located in East China's Jiangsu province – now have a new addition to their neighborhood in the form of bookstore open 24/7.
The facility offers a wide range of reading topics, including historical books, local literature and parent-child reading.
Located in the south side square of the community, it features a comfortable and elegant indoor decor, with wooden bookshelves that add a touch of warmth and charm.

The bookstore aims to always be at hand to meet the borrowing needs of residents. That's after some locals voiced their concern that the bookstore was only open during the day, making it inconvenient for those who wanted to borrow or return books at night.
Moreover, the community has launched various reading activities and services to cater to different reading groups. They've even set up a volunteer team to read to widows, orphans and people with disabilities on a regular basis.
Moving forwards, plans are for Wangjiang Community to increase the number of bookstores and enrich the content and reading channels through activities such as organized book donation events and creating audiobooks.
