Xinqiao town – administered by Jingjiang city in East China's Jiangsu province – is delivering an impressive performance in its foreign trade sector.
From January to August of this year, the town's foreign trade exports were worth $44 million, a whopping 48.5 percent increase on the same period in the previous year.
The town is home to nearly 20 foreign trade export enterprises – specializing in gas cylinders, electric ovens, furnace rolls and metallurgical casting products.
These enterprises are said to have been extremely effective in their efforts to improve their product quality, enhance management levels and expand into overseas markets.
One notable example of that in Xinqiao was a visit to Jiangsu Jinuo Furnace Roll Co Ltd on Oct 11 by the purchasing coordinator of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, Belen Blanco de Diego.

The Jingjiang company has been supplying ArcelorMittal for six years and is eager to further expand its business by providing superior products to European suppliers.
By prioritizing product quality and technical standards, the company is said to have penetrated European and American markets, resulting in an export volume worth nearly 30 million yuan ($4.11 million) in the first three quarters of this year – a 20 percent gain compared with the previous year.
