Manufacturer Jingjiang Special Steel Co Ltd was recently selected as one of the 2023 annual provincial industrial internet demonstration cases by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu.
Based in Jingjiang city – a county-level city, administered by Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – the company has in recent years adopted new technologies such as the industrial internet, big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence to transform its production and sales processes.
One example of this digital transformation can be seen in its pipe processing plant, where robots have replaced manual processes, boosting daily output substantially.
What's more, the production line is equipped with sensors and cameras that allow real-time monitoring, improving product accuracy and quality control.
The intelligent transformation is part of the company's broader digital transformation efforts, which began in 2019 and which have resulted in the development of an integrated automatic production line for oil casings.
The company aims to strengthen its construction and application of the industrial internet to further bolster its core competitiveness and achieve high-quality development.
