The Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone – in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has recently seen significant developments in the construction of major projects.
One particular accomplishment was the successful handover and acceptance of the water section of Shenzhen International Holdings Ltd's Intelligent Logistics Park. That marks major progress in the construction of the project, which is expected to be completed and start operating by the end of 2023.
Another achievement is the official approval of the 2×1 million kilowatt unit expansion in phase II of utility Jiangsu Guoxin Corporation Limited's power plant.
With an investment of 8.39 billion yuan ($1.17 billion), this project has currently entered the preparatory stage of construction.

Overall, the development zone has been focusing on its industrial landscape this year, promoting targeted investment and upgrading traditional industries.
It's also worked towards strengthening specialist industries like metal materials and aviation manufacturing – as well as expanding into emerging industries such as new energy, general health, high-end equipment and new generation information technology.
In the first half of this year, the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone has actively sought investment opportunities nationwide.
Its representatives have visited Beijing – as well as the provinces of Sichuan, Hunan and Zhejiang – and held over 40 promotional events to attract more investment, resulting in several high-quality projects being signed up.
