Financial services are said to have played an important role in vitalizing rural areas in Jingjiang city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, with the prospects bright for further progress moving forwards.
Local financial service teams have been deployed to rural areas to provide agricultural financing guarantee services and create a financial market, to offer inclusive financial products to rural residents.
With the help of these services, funding and other help has been rolled out in many towns and villages.
As of May 23, Jiangsu agricultural financing guarantee services had been provided to 500 agricultural business entities, raising 562 million yuan ($79.1 million) in financial funds to support the development of modern agriculture in Jingjiang.
The local government has invested heavily in a range of financial services to support major agricultural and rural projects, recognizing that these are key drivers for rural development.
Elsewhere, the Jingjiang rural commercial bank has actively provided financial services to support rural projects, rural tourism innovation and to encourage rural women to participate in agriculture and rural development.
