The Jingjiang Northern Industrial Park – situated in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – is focusing on attracting projects with high investments, growth, technology and added value to pursue its development goals.
To date, it's attracted 18 since the start of the year, each costing over 100 million yuan ($14.13 million) and three over 500 million yuan each.
Moreover, more than 93 percent of the projects were from outside Jingjiang city and are high-tech industrial projects.
"Our target this year is to attract 26 projects that each cost over 100 million yuan and seven major projects worth over 500 million yuan," said Li Huabing, Party secretary of the Jingjiang Northern Industrial Park.
Li said it would extend and strengthen supply chains for its major sectors – including auto parts and intelligent motor appliances – and accelerate the establishment of incubators for these industries.
He added that the park would move to bail out any resident businesses in difficulties and help develop 45 national high-tech enterprises, as well as five new provincial specialized and sophisticated SMEs this year.
