Jingjiang city – a county-level city in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – was recently selected as a provincial pioneer city for innovation development among 15 cities in Jiangsu province, according to information released by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
By the end of 2022, Jingjiang city housed 315 high-tech enterprises, which is the most in Taizhou city. The output value of the high-tech industry in the city reached 65.32 billion yuan ($9.45 billion), and accounted for 47.43 percent of the total output value of industries above designated size – which was 34.7 percent at the end of 2012.
Three national post-doctoral research stations, one national enterprise technology center as well as 105 enterprise R&D institutions above the provincial level have also been built in Jingjiang city.
Resident companies such as Sprint Precision Technologies (Jiangsu) Co Ltd and Jiangsu Guoxin Corporation Limited, which are based in Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, made breakthroughs in key technical fields and their self-developed products are sold around the world.

Moving forward, plans are in motion for Jingjiang city to strive to be one of the top 20 advanced manufacturing hubs in the country and continue high-quality development.
