Jingjiang city holds jobs fairs to boost employment

Jingjiang city – a county-level city, run by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – organized a series of on-site and online jobs fairs on Jan 29.

Some 90 employers offered more than 3,900 jobs on site and more than 1,200 people reached preliminary employment agreements.

"There are so many jobs being offered. I believe that I can find the job of my choice," said confident college student Yin Jie at the fair.

"Today the scene is so lively, with so many companies, so I will be able to find the job of my choice," Yin added.

In addition to the recruitment area, the event also set up areas for consultation on employment policies, a service zone set for start-ups, as well as professional training for job seekers.

Plans are for Jingjiang city to help people with difficulties to find work at home and provide more services for flexible workers, temporary workers and hourly workers.

Jingjiang city also plans to create a digital employment map, by marking the location of enterprises, publicizing specific job demands and providing online communications to better serve enterprises and job seekers.
