Jingjiang city – a county-level city administered by Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has made significant achievements over the past year and here are some highlights.
New orders of Jingjiang shipbuilding enterprises top that in Japan in 2021

Some 178 new orders for Jingjiang's shipbuilding industry totaled 18.28 million deadweight tons in 2021, exceeding the annual new orders of Japan, the world's leading shipbuilding country.
That was according to statistics from the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry and the Jingjiang municipal bureau of industry and information in the beginning of 2022.
The world's biggest shipping services provider, Clarksons, said Japanese shipbuilders received a total of 12.83 million deadweight tons of new orders in 2021.
Jingjiang's ecological protection received provincial recognition in 2022

The project for ecological restoration along the Yangtze River in Jingjiang was evaluated in the first batch of Ecological Civilization Construction Typical Cases in Jiangsu province in 2022.
The city also regulated over 90 gas-related enterprises, built eight provincial intelligent construction sites and continued to improve air quality in 2022.

Jingjiang has strived to build a beautiful, livable city. In 2022, the city renovated 42 old neighborhoods, added over 6,000 new parking spaces and 210,000 square meters of green space.
