As a State-level economic and technological development zone, the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, or Jingjiang ETDZ – located in the county-level city of Jingjiang, administered by Taizhou city in China's East Jiangsu province – covers a planned area of 102.66 square kilometers.

The south of the park borders the Yangtze River, with the zone boasting a total of 52.3 kilometers of the river's coastline and the zone's port having more than 100 berths for ships.

Running across the area is the Beijing-Shanghai expressway, the highway along the Yangtze River and the Xinyi-Changxing railway. This gives the zone geographical advantages for convenient water and land transportation.

As a result, it has earned a fine reputation for being as national first-class opening port, a national shipbuilding export base, a national industrial base for micro motors and controls and a national start-up base for small and medium-sized enterprises.

It has also been recognized as a national intellectual property pilot park, a national science and technology incubator, a modern service industry cluster zone, a provincial key logistics demonstration base, a provincial high-tech entrepreneurship service center, a provincial high-end equipment manufacturing demonstration base and characteristic industrial base, as well as a provincial high-tech ship industrial park.

The zone at present consists of four parts: the Jingjiang ETDZ headquarters, Chengnan Park, Chengbei Park and Xinqiao Park.

- Chengnan Park – in order to help achieve a new southern city for smart manufacturing – is accelerating its industry-city integration, by upgrading existing industries and vigorously developing its modern services sector.

- Chengbei Park places an emphasis on building a diversified industrial system and is striving to build a new cluster for a smart air-conditioning industrial park and a high-end equipment industrial park.

- Xinqiao Park concentrates on the development of leading industries such as advanced metal materials, environmental protection equipment and smart kitchen appliances – in order to further advance its "Xinqiao Smart Manufacturing" brand.
