The company was listed as a national "single champion" enterprise – a term referring to companies leading an individual field of the manufacturing industry.
Jolywood (Taizhou) Solar Technology Co Ltd was recognized for its modules of N-type TOPCon bifacial solar cells.
Founded in 2008, Jolywood is said to be the world's biggest N-type bifacial solar cell and module manufacturer and is rated as a national high-tech enterprise, to boot.
The company established the world's largest N-type cell production line in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone in 2016.
To date, the zone has presided over three of its resident companies making it into the manufacturing industry single champion category – the previous two being Jiangsu Pacific Precision Forging Co Ltd and Shuangdeng Group.
Moreover, the zone's focus on niche areas and key industrial supply chain links is widely said to have bolstered the resilience and security of the overall supply chain.
Moving forwards, plans for the development zone include further cultivating specialized enterprises, enhancing their capacity and guiding them onto the path to specialization and innovation.
That's by providing policy guidance, precise services and technological incubations.
