A major project – called the Hanglingwei Semiconductor Device Special Equipment Production Plant – is galvanizing overall construction in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone, located in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.

With a planned total investment of 500 million yuan ($68.37 million) and a site covering 33 mu (2.2 hectares), once online the plant will manufacture and sell specialized semiconductor device equipment, which is projected to generate annual tax revenue of about 20 million yuan.
Two factory buildings and an office building have already been constructed, with Building B completing its structural roof and Building A now 75 percent complete. All buildings are expected to have completed roofs by Nov 15.
The project manager emphasized the need to closely monitor construction timelines and goals to ensure that the production plant was completed on time and with good quality.
Wang Zhongmao, deputy general manager of Hanglingwei (Taizhou) Technology Co Ltd, said the project really gained momentum with land auctions in May, followed by the issuing of permits in June and the commencement of construction in July.
The executive added that equipment installation and decoration would be finished by November and production would start in January next year.
