Listed solar power panel manufacturer Jolywood (Taizhou) Solar Technology Co Ltd, which says it is the world's biggest producer of special N-type bifacial solar cells and modules, was recently added to China's national list of postdoctoral research workstations.
This makes the company, which is also a national high-tech enterprise, the fifth such workstation in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.

Founded in 2008, Jolywood is said to have established the world's largest N-type cell production line in 2016 in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone, located in Jiangyan district in Taizhou city.
A postdoctoral research workstation is an organization that can recruit and train postdoctoral researchers within enterprises, scientific research and production institutions and special regional institutions. Approval is required to establish such a workstation.
Postdoctoral research stations are known to be an effective way to combine production, learning and research – enhancing the independent innovation ability of enterprises.
This is seen as being highly significant in attracting postdoctoral talent, improving technological innovation and promoting the commercialization of sci-tech achievements.
In recent years, Jiangyan district has played an important role in promoting enterprise innovation and sci-tech progress. This has been achieved by optimizing and adjusting its funding policy system, accelerating the construction of postdoctoral carriers and promoting the flow of more high-level young sci-tech talent to enterprises.
Currently, there are eight postdoctoral work sites in the district, including five national postdoctoral research stations and three provincial postdoctoral innovation practice bases.
