Ji Genhua is the R&D director at Jolywood (Taizhou) Solar Technology Co Ltd and was recently honored as a model worker in the industry for his dedication and innovations.
Founded in 2008, Jolywood (Taizhou) Solar Technology Co Ltd is the world's largest N-type bifacial solar cell and module manufacturer and a national high-tech enterprise.
The company established the world's largest N-type cell production line in Jiangyan Economic Development Zone in Jiangyan district, Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province in 2016.
Ji has undertaken over 20 independent R&D projects. He is in charge of eight projects in the company and has led his team to solve key technical problems.
On April 4, Ji's team achieved a cell lab conversion efficiency of up to 26.7 percent, setting a new world record for n-type TOPCon cells.
To date, Ji has applied for 133 patents, including 81 invention patents, and received 68 authorized patents, which include 20 invention patents.
Ji is often seen busy working in the office, the workshop or the laboratory. "If you don't go to the workshop, you can't understand where the front-line production can be improved and where problems are likely to occur," said Ji.
Ji added that the best way for a person to give back to society is to create value with diligence and dedication.
