The new energy industry practices being employed in the Hailing district of Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – were selected as a prime example of applying the new development philosophy, shown in a report on national broadcaster CCTV news on July 16.
Hailing has adopted a newly upgraded smart ecological platform, which integrates, analyzes and optimizes energy data from over 30 local enterprises – in so doing, helping to reduce annual carbon emissions by hundreds of thousands metric tons.
In 2020, the reform of corporatization and marketization in Hailing's new energy industrial park was viewed as being a move to release the vitality of the park.
The following year, Hailing began the construction of "Solar City" and the new energy sector has been upgraded into a landmark industry there.
As a result, a crystalline silicon photovoltaic industry cluster has been flourished in the district, attracting over 100 manufacturers.
Hailing's shipments of modules in 2022 accounted for 75 percent of Taizhou city's total and the new energy sector and its support industries generated an output value of nearly 25 billion yuan, representing year-on-year growth of 50.2 percent.
